The International Geek Girl Pen Pal Club (IGGPPC) is a fantastic organization year-round, but this summer they’ve gone above and beyond to create an online summer camp for geek girls!

The online camp runs August 16-24, where you’ll get to sit ’round an imaginary campfire and spin tales in a Jane Austen Letter Writing Challenge, learn about things like the visual language of comic books, ballet stretches, and how to start freelancing, and even get hands-on with crafting and an online tabletop game tournament.

Visit the camp’s web site for more details about what’s in the works, and be sure to register starting July 20. Once you’ve signed up you’ll be assigned to a camp troop. And okay, your kids can sign up, too.

As someone who never went to summer camp as a kid, I can’t wait to sign up for geek girl camp and start making some friendship bracelets!
