As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve long known Zazzle as an online purveyor of customizable t-shirts, and while the site’s offerings have expanded in recent years the Zazzle team is still very much in the t-shirt business. Never one to say no to new clothes, I decided to try the service myself.
The first thing I noticed was Zazzle‘s staggering selection of shirt types. There was your basic tee, of course, and your slimmer cut American Apparel model, but – in addition to v-necks and tanks and sweatshirts and polos – I was quite taken by the more classic fare of the your raglans and your ringers. I ended up settling on a nice black-on-grey ringer tee.
Since customization is the name of the game, I played around a bit with Zazzle’s easy browser interface. I was able to add images and text, adjust the design area and fine-tune my layout all without ever leaving the product page. I fretted a bit because the process just seemed a little too easy, but I truly found the final product to my liking.
