Printrbot Announces a CNC Router

Tools

Printrbot has become a standard of quality and features in the low end of DIY 3D printers with kits as low as $350. Their new Simple with all metal construction can be had as low as $600 assembled.

Earlier this week at MakerCon Printrbot Founder and CEO, Brook Drumm, announced their new CNC router. The CNC sports a wi-fi enable Raspbery Pi, TinyG motor controller, NEMA 23 motors, Makita router, and the familiar laser cut plywood frame of their low cost 3D printers. There is no word on price yet, but given the components I would estimate somewhere between $500 and $800.
