This past weekend, Max, Nora, Allison and I spent a great day on the bank of the Chattahoochee River here in Atlanta. When both Nora and Max commented on the river’s funny spelling, I immediately thought “hey, that would make a good puzzle!”

Below, please find the linguistic equivalent of a set of “freeze-dried” river names. Each has had its vowels carefully (and painlessly/humanely) removed and its remaining consonants alphabetized.

This week’s GeekDad Puzzle of the Week challenge is to reconstitute the names of these rivers and send your list to GeekDad Central for a shot at this week’s amazing prize: a $50 Gift Certificate from ThinkGeek.

For a second slip in the hat that is the weekly random drawing from among the correct (or at least mostly correct) submissions, list the set of 5 rivers that all have the same remaining letters after being disemvoweled.

Good luck, and happy puzzling!
