March is shaping up to be a great month for Pokémon fans. Not only is the animated series finally making an appearance on Netflix’s streaming service – this Saturday, March 1st, for those who are wondering – but Nintendo has also announced a special promotion wherein you can pick up a copy of best-selling titles Pokémon X or Pokémon Y for free!
Register a Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL or 2DS and one of six selected games during the month of March at Club Nintendo, and you can score a free download code for either X or Y. The system and game must be registered between March 1st and March 31st in order to qualify, and download codes for Pokémon X/Y must be redeemed by May 31, 2014.
Eligible games include:
- Mario Kart 7
- Super Mario 3D Land
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf (A personal favorite!)
- Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
- LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins
- And upcoming release Yoshi’s New Island
