Some information on Disney Infinity has emerged from a tester job posting for Avalanche Software. It suggests both a release date (Q3 2014) and platforms for the (first) follow-up to the hit game: Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U:

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that Disney is expected to lay off hundreds of people from it’s Disney Interactive division – http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304851104579361180742804184.
It certainly sounds like mixed messages are being given.
I was about to say the same thing. I found that rather odd. Obviously they are working on different games. I for one, have had little interest in the titles Disney offered so far.
Interesting find. Hopefully more clarity should be forthcoming soon.
If the upcoming Phineas & Ferb pack is the “end” of INFINITY (note the irony here), then I’ll be a little upset. I was hoping for a single game with longer legs and more content added, not the “buy a game, then have it be obsolete next year” routine that Skylanders has gotten into. If this is truly the case, then my family will be abandoning the Disney series in favor of Skylanders, if for no other reason than the sheer amount of dollars already invested in out Skylanders collection.
That is a good point. I suspect new play sets will have to be either a new disc or DLC. Seems like being able to go the DLC route if you want and just buy PlaySets individually would be a nice move and one up on Skylanders.
