GeekDads participating in T-shirt Day!
Today, BBC6 Music wants you to dig up an old band t-shirt and wear it to work to show your support for good music.
Wear your band t-shirt Friday, take a selfie, and send pictures to the 6 Music website and/or via Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #tshirtday or #6MusicTShirtDay, and they will be rewarded for their efforts by receiving one specially designed 6 Music t-shirt as a mark of our appreciation for their support. We’re asking GeekDad readers to do that, but then also post their T-shirts to our Flickr page, and we’ll show the results here in a live feed.
How do I participate?
- Wear your Band T-shirt to work on Friday.
- Take a picture of yourself wearing said t-shirt.
- Post picture online:
- Post on BBC6 Music Site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03j0z3j/live
- Post on BBC 6 Music Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BBCRadio6Music
- Post on Twitter with hashtag #tshirtday
- Post on GeekDads Flickr group including the tag tshirtday: http://www.flickr.com/groups/633614@N25/
- Sit back and bask in your smug superiority over lesser mortals (optional).
I pulled out an Arc Attack shirt from about 5 years ago.
Mine was a 25 year old Dead Can Dance T-shirt.
I was going to go with Negativland, but then thought that the Bowser/Motorhead, topped off with ltd. edition long sleeved Derek Riggs (original Eddie artist for Maiden) Eddie Autism research fundraiser shirt, were more geek oriented.
The Bowser/Motorhead is very geeky indeed.
The oldest shirt I should have found in my closet is a Momentary Lapse of Reason shirt, but I think my son stole that one.
