The Doctor turns 50 in just a few months, and it is a time to start celebrating. To help us out, BBC America has kindly given us three copies of The Doctors Revisited 1–4, a four DVD set with a story from each of the first four Doctors.
These episodes represent some of the best from the show’s history.
- William Hartnell — “The Aztecs”
- Patrick Troughton — “The Tomb of the Cybermen”
- Jon Pertwee — “Spearhead From Space”
- Tom Baker — “Pyramids of Mars”

Fun giveaway, I’ve been wanting to see these specials!
My favourite first Doctor episode–The Aztecs. But then, I’m still working my way through the Old Who episodes.
My favourite fourth Doctor episode–City of Death. Love those leisurely stroll-around-Paris scenes. You’d never see those nowadays. Also, the TARDIS-as-art sequence is delish.
Love the City of Death episode
I like the #4 series Douglas Adams wrote
Favourite First Doctor story: Tough to choose just one, but I’ll go with Keys of Marinus. I love a quest, me.
Favourite Second Doctor story: Tough to choose (again), but I adore Evil of the Daleks.
Favourite Third Doctor story: (Do I still need to say it’s tough to choose?) Has to be Sea Devils, if only for the awesome music & chase scenes.
Favourite Fourth Doctor story: Now this is just cruel to make me pick just one from seven years. Okay fine: Genesis of the Daleks.
First Doctor- The Aztecs
Second Doctor-The Invasion
The Third Doctor is my favorite so I love pretty much every serial.-The Three Doctors
Fourth Doctor- Genesis of the Daleks
Favourite Third Doctor story: I’m going to say Carnival of Monsters, because that’s the only one I’ve seen so far. There’s lots of Old Who to explore, and I’m exploring it at my leisure.
1st Doctor: Obvious choice… An Unearthly Child (hey it all began here!)
2nd Doctor: War Games
3rd Doctor: The Time Warrior (love the early Sontarans)
4th Doctor: Genesis of the Daleks (probably the best serial ever made)
I have fond memories of watching The Three Doctors.
My favorite 4th Doctor episode is Genesis of the Daleks. Only one I own on DVD.
For the 2nd Doctor, it has to be Tomb of the Cybermen…though that might change if there weren’t so many lost episodes.
For the 1st Doctor, I have to go with The Daleks- simply because this is the first time we meet our classic foe.
For the 3rd Doctor – a tie between The Three Doctors and The Terror of the Autons. I love the multiple doctor episodes, but it’s hard to beat both The Master and The Autons together in an episode.
First doctor: The Daleks
Second Doctor: The Abominable Snowmen
Third Doctor: Inferno
Fourth Doctor: Genesis of the Daleks
