Activision has released the latest SWAP Force trailer, and it reveals a lot about the story of the new game. I’m very eager to get a chance to play, and will definitely be putting some hours in once it’s released on October 13. The video below shows a lot of footage of gameplay and characters that we haven’t seen before, and plenty of Q&A with the designers at Vicarious Visions, the studio behind this incarnation of the game.
SWAP Force adds a lot of new dynamics to the game, but the swappable characters are easily the most interesting. Sixteen characters with swappable tops and bottoms for a total of 256 combinations. They are also announcing 16 Core figures, 8 Light Core figures and 16 redesigned original characters as Series 3.
Due to the technical requirements of swappable characters a new portal is required, but you can pick up a starter pack that includes the new portal, game, and 3 figures. Preorder Skylanders SWAP Force on Amazon for $75.
