The Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, formed in 1991, is an animal rescue organization focused on rescuing extremely abused animals. They rescue exotic, wildlife, and farm animals, and they are the permanent home of over 1,200 creatures. The Sanctuary is also an exhibit, with visiting hours, but they do not charge admission. They are completely donation funded, and are facing a serious threat to their mission.
Because of new USDA, Department of Natural Resources, and Fish & Game ordinances, they are required to double the height of their fences, a project that will cost $500,000! As you might expect, they do not have the funds to do this alone. They are currently running a campaign to raise the funds, but they need the money as soon as possible. Their current campaign on CrowdRise has raised $134,952 as of the writing of this post, which is only 25% of the way to their goal. This campaign runs until 9/24.
