LeadingAgeHackFest

The LeadingAge HackFest is coming to Dallas next month and should be a great opportunity for some technically-minded students to network with other technically-minded people and possibly win a prize or two.

The event is October 25th to 27th at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. The challenge for the participants is “Engage with Age,” and tasks the teams to create technology-driven tools to improve the lives of older adults and their families. The HackFest is hosted by LeadingAge, an association of more than 6,000 not-for-profit aging service providers.

Registration is open to students and should include a good mix of disciplines including engineering, healthcare, anthropology, business, and more. Applications will be approved by the HackFest and teams assigned based on area of study and expertise. If you’re approved you’ll be provided a list of team members and contact info two weeks before the event.

You can find out more info, including contacts, at: LeadingAge HackFest.
