Sock puppet rockers Uncle Monsterface set out late last year to explore their home base, Dino-Skeleton Island, and they fell into a cave… and also a concept album. They’ve taken to Kickstarter to crowdsource the funds needed to make their next full length, Rise of the Lava Men, a reality.
It’s an epic musical adventure resplendent with ninjas, zombies, accountants and robots, and since Monsterface is involved the donation incentives are equally awesome. Score sock puppet portraits, exclusive music downloads, t-shirts and, most importantly, the deep sense of personal fulfillment that comes from helping these fine musicians/amateur archeologists bring the good word of the Lava Men to the masses.
