My first IMAX movie was Disney’s Beauty and the Beast when I was 17 years old. I wanted to see it because it was also the first movie I saw in a theater. I haven’t been back to an IMAX since, but with the release of the latest Superman movie right around the corner, I have a feeling that is going to change.

In honor of both Father’s Day and the release of The Man of Steel on June 14th, IMAX has given us the chance to give away two tickets to the IMAX movie of your choice.

What’s the big deal about IMAX? Unlike traditional screens, there’s no frame on an IMAX screen. It’s a wall to wall and floor to ceiling show. The screen is curved to give you an excellent view of the film no matter where you sit. It’s not just the screen that’s different either. The way the auditorium is set up also allows a better viewing experience.

Entering is simple…leave us a comment telling us which one of Superman’s powers you wish you had and why. You might win a set of two IMAX tickets.

All entries must be in by 11:59 p.m. ET on June 9th to be eligible to win.

Make sure you use a valid email address and one that you check regularly so we can contact you if you win. The winner will be notified on Monday, June 10th via email. Prizes must be claimed by Wednesday, June 12th or they will be forfeited to another reader.

I’ll get the ball rolling. I wish I could fly, because I think it would be nice to fly away when I need a break from the world around me.

Your turn. Which power of Superman’s do you wish you had and why? We want to hear all about it.

Each Hollywood Movie Money certificate is valid for one IMAX admission (up to $21.00 total) to see any IMAX film at any showing including those designated as “no coupons, no passes” in local theater listing guides at participating IMAX theaters. Your reward code is valid through 12/31/2013. Certificates expire on one month from online code activation. If lost, they cannot be replaced.

I was given free tickets in exchange for setting up this giveaway. That doesn’t hinder my opinion that IMAX is a great theater experience and the only way I would see The Man of Steel in theaters.

  1. Hands down, without a doubt… Superman’s ability to fly would be the one. Aside from the obvious reason, like free travel ANYwhere, it would be nice to just shoot off into the air above the clouds and get away from everything to just relax, clear your head and enjoy the peace.

Thank you for such an awesome giveaway!

  2. I’d like to have super speed, so I could get all of my work done in under 30 seconds. It would have come in so handy when we moved.

  3. I would choose Super Speed…because I could use a few more hours in the day!

  4. It would be flight without a doubt. As a child I used to literally dream of flying. There were countless nights where I would perch on my roof in my dreams and just push off from the edge; gliding down my driveway, inches above the asphalt. I would do barrol rolls above my lawn and swoop around our freshly mowed cul-de-sac. It was exhilarating, freeing, and empowering. I can’t say what I would do with the power after the initial shock and celebration was over, but I imagine I would do my best to use it actively and responsibly.

  5. I would choose invulnerability. It would be nice to live without back pain, knee pain, and other ailments that make life so much more difficult.

  6. Simple! I wish I could fly only because it seems like the most fun of all his abilities. Everything else would be awesome, but I’m not sure I fully trust my moral judgment to use them for good all of the time. But flying? How could I hurt anybody?

  7. Flight. I’ve always wanted the ability to fly. To be able to go anywhere would be amazing.

  8. I too would choose flight, as long as I didn’t have to file flight plans with the FAA every time I wanted to run an errand!

  9. I would love to say flight but I think the more practical power for me now since becoming a mom would be super speed. There is just never enough time in a day 🙂

  10. I would like super hearing, then I could hear what people are saying in secret and make things right…..I could also abuse it and listen to what people are saying about me 😉 (my email: jbxjuanxhm13@gmail.com)

  11. I would want flying. It would make it much easier to get from one place to another quickly.

  12. This is a total no-brainer. Flying. Flying. Flying. To be able to fly independently with no craft anywhere and everywhere has been a lifelong dream. I used to dream I could fly all the time as a girl and I suspect my daughter does to as she said something that hinted at that the other day.

  13. Invulnerability. I want the ability to shelter my loved ones from harm. To protect my children from madmen entering our schools and movie theaters. I do not have invulnerability now, yet I would still take a bullet or step in front of a blade to protect them. Having invulnerability would afford me the opportunity to continue protecting them long after the first shot is fired or the first cut is made.

  14. If I could choose one power that Kal-El possesses, I would choose that of his invulnerability. With that ability I would be able to stop catastrophic events from occurring, and I would be able to discover the vast reaches of the Earth and space as a means to better inform our people of the Universe that we reside within, which would enable us to become more focused on sentient life as a whole group, and not separate factions, so that we might unify and push beyond our current bounds of technology and thought at an exponential rate.

  15. Super Speed because I can accomplish a lot more things in a day and spend most of my day relaxing.

  16. Everyone seems to agree that flight is the best super power. I’ll mix it up and say being “Faster than a speeding bullet” would be pretty cool too!

  17. Greatest power is one we all, as mortal humans, can aspire to. The fortitude to use our own unique powers & skills for good. Given all Superman’s powers and how he could practically enslave the world with no fear of reprisal, he always uses his gifts to help others and so can we!
