It’s a big year for Superman, with his 75th Anniversary, Man of Steel due out in theaters on June 14, and the release today of Superman: Unbound, an animated movie based on the 2008 Superman: Brainiac arc written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Gary Frank in which Superman has to save Metropolis from being permanently set in a bottle, like the Kryptonian city of Kandor.
The animated movie features Matt Bomer (Magic Mike, White Collar) as Superman/Clark Kent, Stana Katic (Castle) as Lois Lane and John Noble (Fringe’s Dr. Walter Bishop) as Brainiac. The film also guest-stars Supergirl, voiced by Molly Quinn, also of Castle. It’s a cast I’m really looking forward to hearing.
