Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox–Trailer Revealed

While my husband is a Man of Steel kind of guy, I’m more of an animated movie kind of gal. That’s why I couldn’t be more excited about DC Entertainment’s latest animated film, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.

As the synopsis reads, (courtesy of DC Entertainment):

When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for Flash and his family, the event’s temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality where the Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline.

In addition to it being a great story, it also reunites some of my favorite voice talents including Nathan Fillion (Hal Jordan / Green Lantern), Ron Perlman (Clade Wilson / Deathstroke), Dana Delany (Lois Lane), and last but not least, Kevin Conroy (Bruce Wayne / Batman).

The Flashpoint mini-series, written by Geoff Johns (one of my favorite names in comics), is the reason we have the New 52. The entire event spans not only the main Flashpoint book, but also includes several side series involving Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, as well as many others.

I’m looking forward to seeing how they tie everything in and how much they condense from the books.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is PG-13 and is set to be released on July 30th, 2013 to DVD, Blu-Ray Combo Pack, On Demand, and Digital Download.
