Flashpoint–What’s it All About

On July 30th, DC Entertainment will release its latest animated film, Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, based off the DC Comics event, Flashpoint, written by Geoff Johns.

Flashpoint was one of my first comic book reading adventures and the very first comic book I bought on Comixology. I was as green a newbie as you could get to the comic book world, but that didn’t hinder my reading experience.

As a means of celebrating the release of the movie to BluRay and DVD, I’ve decided to do a series of posts about the books the movie is based off of. There’e a total of eight books that have something to do with the events of Flashpoint and I’m going to spend the next eight weeks covering them all, starting with Flash: Rebirth.

While you won’t need to read all the books to understand what is going on, it’s a great story, so feel free to follow along as I go. Think of it as a DC Comics book club.

Here is the order that I will be covering the books, for those of you that would like to follow along.

Week 1: Flash: Rebirth and Flash Vol. 2 – The Road to Flashpoint
Week 2: Flashpoint
Week 3: Flashpoint: The World of Flashpoint – Batman
Week 4: Flashpoint: The World of Flashpoint – Wonder Woman
Week 5: Flashpoint: The World of Flashpoint – Superman
Week 6: Flashpoint: The World of Flashpoint – Green Lantern
Week 7: Flashpoint: The World of Flashpoint – The Flash

So, hang on to your seats. This is going to be a fun ride!
