Geeks know it’s never too early to start planning for Halloween, and thus it is unsurprising that electronic artist Sam Haynes—also known as mash-up mastermind DJ Cheekyboy of Monster Mash-up fame—has chosen early spring to launch his latest candy-fueled Kickstarter. Welcome to the Horror Show, the follow-up to 2012’s Halloween Carnival, is another collection of instrumentals specifically written to back up your own Halloween party or haunted attraction. The difference is that this time Sam is more firmly focused on a physical media release.
Nineteen tracks strong and combining everything from eerie ambient joints to up-tempo remixes, Welcome to the Horror Show is on target for a Halloween release providing you’re willing to chip in. With pledge incentives like digital downloads available at the £1 level and additional goodies like CDs, art prints, vinyl and even producer credits for bigger backers, it’s a project that promises all treats and no tricks.
