SPOILER-FREE:

Fans of R.A. Salvatore’s legendary drow ranger Drizzt Do’Urden will be pleased to know that the final book in The Neverwinter Saga was released today, March 5th 2013.

I’ve been a fan of Drizzt and his company of larger than life heroes since the original Icewindale Trilogy. I’ll admit that the early books in the series are actually pretty hard to read several decades later. But as a junior high school student, I could overlook the pulp nature of the first stories of Drizzt. I love the Forgotten Realms and enjoy using the flavor from the books to inspire my role-playing campaigns that share the same setting.

I’ve recently been reading The Neverwinter Saga and R.A. Salvatore has earned his veteran author status. Salvatore’s storytelling, like Drizzt has come a long way from Icewindale and the trilogy that shares it’s name. His writing style is engaging, characters entertaining, and Drizzt Do’Urden will always go hand in hand with epic fantasy and the Forgotten Realms.

If your wondering what will happen to the fate of Faerun like myself, you’ll have to pick up your copy of the book today.

The Last Threshold is available in hardcover, e-book, and via Audible.com
