Submissions Sought for Kids Creatures and Monsters Comics Anthology

Geek Culture

Boston Comics Roundtable, the Boston-based comics collective, seeks submissions for a comics anthology geared for kids to be called Hellbound IV: Creatures and Monsters.

The collection will be the fourth in a series of anthologies. Volumes one through three are intended for adult audiences, but this year’s “scary anthology” will geared towards kids aged 7 to 12. The editors want to make sure that any submissions are age appropriate.

“We are looking for comics that don’t talk down to kids, and there’s nothing wrong with making them a little spooky and weird,” say the guidelines. “Just keep them rated PG, no explicit violence or swearing. We want everyone to enjoy them—this should truly be an all-ages anthology.”

Dan Moynihan and Bob Flynn, “creators of the amazingly entertaining, funny and bizarre, HEEBY JEEBY COMIX,” are the editors.

Deadline is August 25th, 2013. Questions: email hellboundboston(at)gmail.com
