From Luleå, Sweden to Kuching, Malaysia to Necochea, Argentina, just about wherever you were in the world yesterday, you were near an International Tabletop Day event! The day was created by Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day related to their Tabletop web series on the Geek & Sundry YouTube channel to encourage participation in tabletop gaming.

You already read how one of our own became a gamer yesterday. Other GeekMoms didn’t attend planned events but had more spontaneous gaming gatherings with friend’s, like Patricia’s family:

I was lucky enough to make it to not one, but two Tabletop Day events! The second was mostly to try Ommegang‘s new Game of Thrones beer, but I also introduced my kids (7 and 3) to Blokus.

Of course, not everybody had a chance to join in the fun. Such as it is when you’re a mom–things come up! So if you missed out on participating, you can catch up with yesterday’s YouTube stream. And of course, you can play games any time. In fact, let’s play one right now!

Your Tabletop Score

Calculate your Tabletop Score and post it in the comments. Give yourself 2 points for each of the games that’s been played on Tabletop so far that you also played yesterday during International Tabletop Day. Give yourself 1 point for any other games you played yesterday. And give yourself half a point for each of the games on the list that you’ve played, just not yesterday. That’s your Tabletop Score!

Join the official International Tabletop Day recap

If you did get a chance to join in an event yesterday and would like to be a part of the official video recapping Tabletop Day, sign the release form and send your form, pictures, and videos to tabletopday@gmail.com.
