It’s less than a month until Doctor Who returns to our screens for the second half of season 7, and we have pictures! After a rather stressful victorian Xmas, The Doctor has gone looking for his once and future companion, Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman). According to the BBC America press release we received, The Bells of St. John is an urban thriller set in London against the backdrop of new and old iconic landmarks – The Shard and Westminster Bridge. The Shard, if you are not up on your latest London landmarks, is a controversial 95 story skyscraper that resembles shards of glass which opened 1 February 2013, and is the tallest building in the European Union.
The press release also gives some other clues about this season:
The duo finds new adversaries and familiar friends around every corner as they journey from the bottom of the ocean in a submarine to the center of the TARDIS and beyond. The Cybermen make a thunderous return and the Ice Warrior arrives in an unexpected place.
In the photos, we see the new Ice Warriors and Draconians, alien races that haven’t made an appearance since the days of the third Doctor.
