Help Fund NaNoWriMo: The Musical: The CD on IndieGoGo

Geek Culture

At the beginning of November, I introduced you to NaNoWriMo: The Musical. A couple weeks ago, the final episode of the six-part web series was released. Now, as a result of viewer requests, the creators of NaNoWriMo: The Musical want to create a CD.

To refresh your memory, NaNoWriMo: The Musical is a web series created in the spirit of NaNoWriMo. It was written in a month. Then, they shot it in a month. Then, they edited it in a month. This six-part web series tells the story of Dale, a legend who has surpassed the 50,000 word count every year, and his three friends as they navigate their way through the exciting and often tumultuous month of November.

This web series was written by Manda Whitney and Errol Elumir — half of Debs & Errol — of WE Tangent. Because the original soundtrack was recorded in a less than ideal setting — a living room — Manda and Errol are hoping to raise $8,600 by January 19, 2012, so that they can re-record the soundtrack in a professional studio and make the album available in multiple formats, including a karaoke version, as a digital download, and a physical CD.

This IndieGoGo campaign is a fixed funding campaign; meaning, they will not receive any funds unless they reach their goal.

You can view all six episodes of NaNoWriMo: The Musical on YouTube.
