This weekend, Dakster Sullivan will be helping to support Toys for Tots at a comic book store’s holiday kick off event. She’s super excited because George Perez will be there and she’s hoping to get a comic book or two signed by him.

Chaos Mandy will be attending AetherCon this weekend. This gaming convention takes place online and she is looking forward to playing in several games from the comfort of her own home.

Kris Bordessa spent the last week helping to cook for the 75 amateur and professional musicians who attended the Kahumoku ‘Ohana Music and Lifestyle Workshop on the Big Island of Hawaii. This is the sixth year she’s been there with her family, and as always, it was a chance to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and – this year! – visit with her college kiddo who was back on the island to teach ‘ukulele lessons.

Rebecca Angel is very excited to be taking her daughter to last minute play rehearsals as her daughter prepares for Arsenic and Old Lace performances this weekend. Can’t wait to see the show! Other than that … she knows she’s been up to things, but the play has really taken over their lives, so she can’t remember.

Rachel Cericola is beating the holiday rush and heading out to see family this weekend. Take that, holiday travelers! She also plans to hit up one of her favorite bars, 1984 — where the Frogger and the Lance crackers make her feel like a kid again.

Melissa Wiley has been eating, crafting, and swooning her way through the contents of subscription boxes for her review series. She’s thinking Christmas shopping is going to be a breeze this year.

Corrina has been celebrating the release of her new superhero novel, Phoenix Legacy, by holding a contest for a $25 Amazon certificate which is open until midnight Sunday. Despite a bought of stomach illness that hit the household, she also managed to do some blogging on why her heroes are located in New Jersey, of all places, the influence of comic book cliffhangers on her pacing and being a series writer. She’s hoping for a restful Thanksgiving weekend and maybe the chance to see a movie or two.

After hitting 50,000 in NaNoWriMo Brigid is continuing to write and has taken a detour into the Virtual World Kitely for the purposes of creating an interactive 3D map for the world in her book.

Patricia is super-excited about her family’s trip to New York this weekend to spend Thanksgiving with her husband’s family. She thinks the highlight of the week will be the family’s trip into Manhattan on Thanksgiving morning, not just for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, but also to possibly meet GeekMom Amy!
