Gino, the wind-up giraffe, by Kinetic Creatures
I first saw Kinetic Creatures at Maker Faire San Mateo this year, and when I found out they were running a Kickstarter Campaign to start up production, I happily contributed. The Kinetic Creatures are wonderfully whimsical kits that meld papercraft art and old-time toy mechanics to create something wonderful. And now, after successfully fulfilling their Kickstarter obligations they are putting the kits on sale to the general public, just in time for the holidays.
