The GeekDads’ favorite toy company is at it again! Lego has just announced a partnership to create construction toys based on the newly re-launched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series airing on Nickelodeon. This new collection is set to launch in North America on January 1, 2013, and will go global later in the year. Lego and Nickelodeon have previously partnered together to bring SpongeBob Squarepants into the brick universe.
Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brings the action-packed adventures of Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo to life in Lego form with a series of vehicles, well-known scenes and iconic Lego minifigures. One playset and select minifigures from the forthcoming line was just unveiled at the Lego booth at New York Comic-Con (at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from October 11-14). Here is a breakdown of what was shown:
The Shellraiser Street Chase:
- Includes a pizza truck and a Turtle mobile
- Five Minifigures
- Exclusive Villain
- Exclusive Michelangelo & Donatello
Many more sets will follow, so stay tuned!
