In the movie Finding Nemo, Marlin – Nemo’s dad – had a chance to talk with a sea turtle named Crush. Marlin had a few questions to ask him, especially since sea turtles live to be so old. Since there has been so much talk about Finding Nemo, mainly because of the 3D release hitting theaters today, I wanted to share my experience of visiting with Crush during a recent trip to Disneyland and a visit to “Turtle Talk with Crush.“
Many may not know this, but Andrew Stanton actually voiced Crush in the movie. Andrew Stanton is, of course, the mastermind behind many of the greatest hits at Pixar including: The Toy Stories, Monsters Inc., Wall-E, A Bug’s Life and others. Now it is not him in the actual Crush experience, but I was told that there is a team of well trained vocalists to help fill-in in his absence.
It is a truly unique experience for the young and old alike to have a conversation with an animated creation. I strongly urge you to take the time on your next Disney visit and check it out. Don’t just take my word for it – see and hear for yourself below.
