On this week’s episode of Geek & Sundry’s TableTop, host Wil Wheaton and friends, Bonnie Burton, Alison Haislip, and John Rogers, play the wonderful story-based RPG Fiasco. If you’re unfamiliar with the award-winning game, it’s like playing out a Coen Brother’s movie. In every game, something goes horribly, disastrously wrong – and you have to figure your way out. It’s a role playing game that’s like no role playing game you’ve ever played before.
This episode of TableTop is Wil’s favorite of the whole season and more than just because it’s an incredibly good time. While Bonnie and Alison are novice players, they really take to the game and do all they can to enhance the story. With John’s experience playing RPGs and his background as a writer, he and Wil elevate the game to a whole new level. And the best part of this week’s game is that the playset used in this game of Fiasco, Saturday Night 78, was written by Wheaton, Will Hindmarch, and Jason Morningstar and can be downloaded for free here.
