The Lucasfilm-produced film Red Tails came out on DVD and Blu-ray in May, but you can get the chance to celebrate the release later this month in style! You can win a trip to the OshKosh Airventure in Wisconsin for one winner, and it comes with all sorts of awesome side benefits. This is probably the biggest giveaway we’ve ever hosted on GeekDad, so read on for details.
Red Tails, which GeekDad reviewed on its theatrical release in January, tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, African-American pilots in World War II who battled institutionalized discrimination to earn the right to fight, and many of whom became heroes in the process. The OshKosh Airventure takes place from July 23-29, and is an incredible annual celebration of airplanes, including air shows, concerts, pyrotechnics, movies, and all sorts of other fun.
The prize package, valued at approximately $10,000 — yes, you read that right — includes:
- 4 coach-class roundtrip flights within the continental US.
- Accommodations (1 hotel room, accommodating 4 people, for the entire event).
- Tickets for 4 to the event (July 23-29).
- Tickets for 2 to Thursday night Gala (not a kids’ event – tickets valued at $500 each).
- Tickets to opening concert by The Steve Miller Band.
- Invitation for 4 to the Ford Motor Company private reception on Wednesday night.

As you would probably guess based on the first item, this giveaway is only open to residents of the continental United States.
