It seems that during the summer months I am constantly packing and unpacking bags of stuff. There are trips to the beach or pool, afternoon picnics with friends and spur-of-the-moment drives to all kinds of fun destinations. As I pack up the sunscreen and towels and whatever else the kids need, I’m often stuck trying to find an easy way to bring my laptop for those times when I need to get a little work done. The Hex Tote is a wonderful way to carry everything together.

Hex is a division of August Accessories, which has been designing fashion accessory products for over 20 years. This newer division of the company aims to use its design experience to develop functional and attractive solutions for taking your tech with you, wherever you need to go. I tried out the Hex Fleet 15″ Laptop Tote and found that it did exactly what was promised.

It’s made of a striped, cotton canvas shell with leather trim at the handles and over the bottom of the bag, which made it much less scary putting this down where there was the potential for splashes of water. Inside there’s a padded laptop sleeve along one side with a simple Velcro closure. It will hold laptops up to 15″ safely while still providing quick and easy access.  The other side of the bag has a similar smaller pocket for tablets as well as little pockets for pens, cables and whatever else you need to carry.

With overall dimensions of 16.75″ H x 16.5″ W x 5.5″ D, once you’ve loaded up with your tech, there’s still plenty of room for the fun things you need to take for a day out. It can easily hold towels, sunscreen and extra clothes for the kids. There’s also a little snap pocket on the outside that’s perfect for your phone, and it has a long handle that let’s you comfortably sling the bag over your shoulder so your hands are free. The Hex Fleet tote is a functional and stylish solution for carrying everything thing you need this summer.

I received a Hex bag for review purposes.
