Back in January, I wrote about a memoir called Too Much to Dream: A Psychedelic American Boyhood (Soft Skull Press), about a 40-something named Peter Bebergal and his memories of growing up in the suburbs of Boston, being raised on secular Judaism, Cocoa Puffs and Gilligan’s Island, and his search for something bigger.

His book relates his spiritual quest that, as a teen, that led him through superhero comic books, Dungeons & Dragons, ESP cards, Creepy and Eerie Magazine, the Leonard Nimoy In Search Of TV show, and books on UFOs, then to Carlos Castaneda and Led Zeppelin, with stops in the world of hallucinogens, mystic rock ‘n’ roll, and occultism. All were attempts to find a deeper, more meaningful path to personal illumination.

I’ve just learned that Bebergal’s book is being offered as a free Kindle download now until July 30. Download your copy today, and enjoy, and report back here to tell us what you think.
