Star Wars Celebration VI: GeekDad Ticket Giveaway!

People Places

For Star Wars fans and families, there really is no experience quite like a Star Wars Celebration.

The sixth – or, if you prefer, the VIth – U.S. edition of the Lucas-saga-centric convention is returning to Orlando in just about two months, and thanks to our friends at Lucasfilm, GeekDad has a pair of four-day admission passes up for grabs.

I’ve been to three of these, and had the privilege of covering the 2010 event for GeekDad, which also marked the first time I took my daughter to a really big con. Every trip has been unique and memorable in its own right, and I expect this year’s Aug. 23-26 event to keep that streak intact.

There’s always a jam-packed schedule of panels and events and presentations, and tons of behind-the-scenes exhibits, and fandom’s most amazing do-it-yourselfers always put on an amazing display of costumes, models and prop replicas.

And of course, Wookiees on escalators.

Just a few of the guests lined up for Star Wars Celebration VI are Carrie Fisher, Ian McDiarmid, and friend of GeekDad Dee Bradley Baker, who has this to say about the Celebration experience:

Sound like something you’d round up your geeklets for? To enter the GeekDad random drawing for two four-day passes to Star Wars Celebration, fill out the info in the form below (or use this link if you can’t see the form). (If you’re looking for safe passage to the Alderaan system, however, the best we can do is point you toward the cantina down the street.)

Enter by midnight July 3, 2012, Eastern Daylight Time. We’ll announce the winner of the tickets on July 5.
