Skylanders Giants Pre-Orders
What with all the Skylanders Giants E3 news the last few days it took me a little while to realize that Giants has just popped up on Amazon. As mentioned in my previous post, the price of the Starter Pack is $74.99 and includes a portal, while a Portal Owners Pack is $59.99 and comes without a portal.
The descriptions on Amazon pretty much match what we had been told at E3, although we are still waiting for the separate figures to appear:
- Skylanders Giants Starter Pack: Includes Portal, Game, Poster, 3 Characters, 3 Trade Cards and Sticker Sheet
- Skylanders Giants Portal Owners Pack Includes: Game, Poster, 1 Giant Character, Trade Card and Sticker Sheet
More interesting than that though is that the listing includes a Wii U version of Skylanders Giants. The box art is only a placeholder for all the listings, but it looks like the Wii U game will be released alongside the PS3, 360, Wii and 3DS versions. The Amazon listing has the games all down for a December 31 release, but I assume this is just an arbitrary date until an official release date is released by Activision.
As with all things Skylanders it pays to get in early so I’ve put in my pre-order today. I thought a quick heads up might be appreciated for GeekDad readers as well.
