If you’ve been jealous of everyone who’s been playing Ticket to Ride on their iPads and Ticket to Ride Pocket on their iPhones, now you’ve got another group to envy: Mac users. Days of Wonder announced today that Ticket to Ride is now for OS X Lion in the Mac App store.
Now, playing TtR on a Mac (or PC) is not totally new: there’s an online version which has been around for a while. But this new version matches the graphics and interface of the iPad/iPhone versions, so if you don’t already have the online game and you’re running a Mac, you may want to try this version out instead. Like the iPad, you can play solo games against the AI, online games against players around the world, and “Hot Seat” mode which lets you play against others on the same computer.
It’s $9.99 for the base game, which includes the US map. The Europe and Swiss maps, as well as the 1910 expansions, are available as in-app purchases.
