Cars 2 AppMATes goes to Tokyo! (click for full size)
The Cars 2 AppMATes app is getting an update! Following the plot of the movie, the cars are headed to Tokyo! The new update to the app (just released today) includes “Tokyo Wheels of Fury,” a new Carcade game, with new races, missions, activities, and gadgets for your cars. There are three new digital cars available for in-app purchase (Kabuto, Dragon Lightning McQueen, and Tokyo Mater), plus a few new mini Carcade games that are also extra.
I reviewed Cars 2 AppMATes back in November, and it’s just a lot of fun and a really cool idea. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should at least download the app for free even if you don’t have the toys, which are sold separately. (The toys are really cool, of course, but you can at least get a sense of the app without them.)
To celebrate the new updates, Disney is providing ten sets of the toys for GeekDad to give away! 5 sets will be Finn McMissile and Tow Mater, and 5 sets will be Lightning McQueen and Holley Shiftwell.
