We at GeekDad love to feature the application of geek enthusiasm in many ways, but we often take special joy in seeing people juxtapose interesting materials into their family holiday celebrations. This is one such fun example. Joanna Brichetto runs an entertaining site called Bible Belt Balabusta where she blogs about child-raising and doing projects with her kids. For Purim (a Jewish holiday celebrating the historical delivery of the Jews from the Persians, wherein drinking to excess and making noise is actually encouraged), she decided to build a traditional gragger – a kind of noisemaker – out of Lego (regular and NXT) parts.
