Word comes via Vulture that there will be another movie starring the Muppets! But it’s not all good news: Director James Bobin and co-writer Nicholas Stoller will be returning, but word is that Jason Segel will not return as co-writer. Seems he’s just too busy acting in other movies and the TV show How I Met Your Mother, and writing on other films as well.
It’s still possible Segel could appear in the movie, though, so that’s something. And I have a feeling, regardless of whether Segel writes for it or not — based on how good last year’s The Muppets was — this will be well worth the price of admission. And will probably have several songs repeating over and over in my head for weeks afterward, too.
