Collect All the New Playmobil Fi?ures!

This year, it won’t just be Lego Minifigs that are being collected. Now Playmobil gets in on the action by offering collectible figures. The Playmobil Fi?ures are divided into blue packs and pink packs, meant to appeal to boys and girls, respectively. (Though I’m a girl and I like most of the blue ones better.) Each series has 12 different figures to collect, but each pack is a mystery until it is opened.

More detailed than the usual Playmobil figures that you get in sets, you get to assemble these yourself. You also can try to collect the whole set. Each pack comes with a checklist showing all of the figures in the set, along with instructions on assembling a general body. Sometimes you will have to figure out the particular intricacies of your figure on your own, which can be part of the fun.

For review, I received one blue pack, containing Uncle Sam, and one pink pack, containing a mom and a baby.

The mom was a bit more difficult to assemble than I had thought she would be. Most of her body went together easily, but her hair took many tries to put on. Uncle Sam was much easier, including his hair, though his beard took a couple of tries to arrange correctly. But it was fun to have the challenge of finding the best way to put them together.

Playmobil Fi?ures cost only a few dollars each and are great for any kid on your holiday shopping list, or for any adult who still plays with toys. They are also great for stocking stuffers, if you celebrate that particular holiday, and the price is right. Playmobil toys have made me smile for over 30 years now. I hope they will do the same for you!

Note: I received two figures for review purposes.
