I know what you’re thinking: “Wait, what? Isn’t Free Comic Book Day in May?”
Yeah, it is, and by then you’ll probably have long forgotten about this post … which is good for me, because then it means you won’t be standing in line at the comic book store and I can have this all to myself: Archaia’s free comic book will be a 48-page hardcover with original stories from Mouse Guard, Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, Rust (which I just discovered this week), Dapper Men, and various others.
I really like a lot of Archaia’s books, and their collections are usually very nice, high-quality hardcovers. Although this is still half a year away, I got pretty excited hearing about this announcement.
It’s a bit funny that we start getting FBCD announcements from publishers this early. Dark Horse says they’ll have two comics with two stories each: Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Guild in one, and Star Wars and Serenity in the other. There’s plenty of time between now and May for all the other stories about FCBD, but I just couldn’t wait to share this little tidbit with you!
