'A Charlie Brown Christmas' lets you play along to 'Linus & Lucy'
The other day I reviewed the A Charlie Brown Christmas iPad (and iPhone, and iPod Touch) app and had nice things to say about it.
You can read the full review again here, if you like, but I’ll happily re-recommend it as a lovely way to relive the old animated special. It’s beautifully designed to look like a pop-up game, and there are plenty of mini-games and easter eggs to keep you amused through a few re-reads of the story.
But now there’s more good news! The good folks at Loud Crow Interactive Inc. (who are behind the app) have seen fit to lower the price to just $4.99. It’s described as a Thanksgiving sale, and today being Black Friday there’s no telling how long it will last, but my guess is that it won’t be at this price for long.
One of my only criticisms about the app was the price, and dropping it (just) below the $5 mark — for however short a time — really makes this app worth a look. And you can still relive the original animated specials on remastered DVD and Blu Ray.
A Charlie Brown Christmas is available now from iTunes and for a limited time is priced at $4.99 (normally $6.99). It’s compatible with your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, so long as it’s running iOS 3.2.2 or later. [iTunes link]
