Have you always dreamed of being a knight? Imagined you were in a Tolkien story? Wished you were armed with more than dice?
If you have a killer costume on the drawing board, in the works, or in your head, listen up. Animal Planet is giving people a Fantasy Transformation.
A new television program in development (which this author is advising) will transform you into the most powerful wizard, the bravest knight, the most hideous creature — whoever or whatever you want to be.
The selected participants will be taken to professional costumers, prop masters, and special effects houses where they will expertly dressed and accessorized for a special event — be it a LARP, a cosplay convention, or a Halo or Middle-earth style wedding ceremony.
Or maybe it’s not you who needs a tricked-out outfit. Perhaps you know a friend or family member who wants to slay dragons, but lacks the requisite armor, bow or battle ax, and elf ears. In which case, tell Fantasy Transformation why this person needs better threads.
To nominate yourself or someone else, record a video audition and upload to the Internet (via YouTube or another site). The video should include a brief bio of the candidate, the transformation you have in mind, and and impassioned plea for why. There is a particular need for candidates in the New York/New Jersey area, but all are welcome to apply. Please send the link to your uploaded video to FantasyShowCasting@gmail.com.
