When I wrote my Open Letter to DC Comics about appealing to women readers, I said if DC wanted to start with the basics, they could eliminate women placed in porn “come hither” poses.
Below is an excellent example of the type of art that makes me wince. It’s an alternative cover to Justice League of America #1. Comics Alliance has great examples of why the pose looks so ridiculous by putting male superheroes in the same pose, with the lasso between their legs.
