Great Gulp

This piece is mesmerizing enough without realizing the effort Sumo Science and Aardman Animations put into creating it. The pixilation artist (a “human puppet” playing fisherman in this piece) notes that it takes about 16 hours to create 20 seconds of screen time.  Promoted as the largest stop-motion animation film, Gulp was shot on three Nokia N8 mobile phones controlled by Apple Macs.  Best of all, the team provides a behind-the-scenes look at making Gulp for those of us who geek out over the details more than the finished product.
