We may only be halfway through this year’s series of Doctor Who (officially labeled Series 6), but the BBC will be releasing those episodes on DVD and Blu-ray discs next Tuesday (July 19th). This season had many memorable episodes — including one by famed fantasy author Neil Gaiman — and a surprise ending in the sixth episode to rival the end of The Empire Strikes Back!
The Doctor will be returning with new episodes this fall, so, now is the time to get caught up if you haven’t watched this season or get on board if you haven’t been watching Doctor Who. The new disc will include 7 episodes:
- The Impossible Astronaut
- The Day of the Moon
- The Curse of the Black Spot
- The Doctor’s Wife
- The Rebel Flesh
- The Almost People
- A Good Man Goes to War
Also included are documentaries about the making of this season and the Doctor’s new enemy, The Silence.
