This could be you!

That is, you could get a little miniature figure of yourself from Sculpteo, a 3D printing company that makes your designs into tangible objects. The avatars are pretty nifty, and are actually designed by an artist using 3D modeling software — once you approve the 3D model, the figurine is printed and shipped to you. Here’s a video of the process:

Of course, they don’t come cheap, either: prices start at about $75 for the figurines. However, one lucky GeekDad reader will win one of the 2.5″ models for free! Just leave a comment below saying what geeky accessories you’d want on your avatar, and we’ll pick a winner at the end of next week. After you submit your photo, you can have your mini-me in about 10 days.

The fine print: Open to U.S. and Canada residents only. Comments must be received by 9pm Pacific Time, June 17, 2011. One entry per physical address. Must be 18 or older to enter. Winners will be chosen by random from the giveaway entries. Winners will be notified via the email supplied at time of entry. Prize is supplied by a 3rd party. GeekDad.com cannot be held liable for items damaged or lost in shipping.
