Happy Birthday, Bruce Campbell!

Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the birth of the geek icon that is Bruce Campbell. Pretty much all (if not all) of us at GeekDad are huge fans of Campbell, who is best known for his appearances in movies such as Bubba Ho-Tep, My Name Is Bruce, and everything Sam Raimi has ever directed, and TV series such as The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. and everything Sam Raimi has ever produced. He can currently be seen in the excellent USA Network TV series Burn Notice, which perhaps remarkably does not involve Sam Raimi at all, but which does have its fifth season premiere tomorrow night.

Campbell’s voice can also be heard as Rod ‘Torque’ Redline in the new Pixar movie Cars 2, which as you probably know opens in theaters this Friday.

So please join us in wishing Bruce Campbell a very happy birthday, and many more to come! For more Campbell-related fun (from last year), check out Sci Fi Wire’s awesome Four Labels from the Bruce Campbell’s Soup Company.
