Beau Yarbrough, a journalist in Hesperia, CA and father of an almost-four-year-old son, has compiled a list of games that his boy enjoys. Yarbrough, a longtime gamer and former Public Relations Coordinator at Blizzard Entertainment, is also the owner/creator of SpyroHints, a popular site for fans of the Playstation game Spyro the Dragon.

“James used to fall asleep watching World of Warcraft and has knew how to use a mouse and an iPhone before he learned to tie his shoes,” Yarbrough explains. “His bedtime and discipline issues are all being worked out simultaneously with limits on his ‘screen time.'”

The list includes several of the most popular and familiar games, such as Angry Birds, as well as pre-school games such as an adaptation of Sesame Street’s “The Monster at the End of This Book” and educational games like Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, but it also includes a number of “all ages” games; Plants vs. Zombies HD sounds interesting; Yarbrough describes it as “Possibly the best game of 2009. Cartoon plants protect your home from cartoonish zombies. I don’t think anyone, of any age, doesn’t love this game.”
