On June 7th, Shout! Factory will release Transformers: Beast Wars- The Complete Series Collector’s Edition in honor of the series’ 15th anniversary. This Transformers series follows the descendants of the Autobots — Optimus Primal and the Maximals — as they battle the treacherous Decepticons’ descendants, known as the Predacons, for control of the universe. As you can probably guess, these Transformers disguise themselves as the most ferocious animals on Earth instead of vehicles.
Transformers: Beast Wars first aired in 1996 and ran for three successful television seasons. Now besides catching the re-runs on the new Hub channel, you can own the entire series! This 8-DVD box set is full of great content including extras, retrospectives, art galleries and a special collectible 24-page comic book. The included comic is the official prequel story leading right up to the start of Beast Wars.
