Happy Birthday, Will Eisner!
Eisner was a giant in the world of comics, coining the term “sequential art” and creating memorable comics — among them, The Spirit, pictured in today’s Google Doodle. One of the comics industry’s highest honors are named after him — The Eisners — and are eagerly anticipated each year at Comic-Con International.
Born in 1917, Eisner passed away in January 2005, and his influence on the world of comics is undeniable. Celebrate his birthday today by doing a Google search and then reading one of his books!
