For you board game fans out there, just a quick poll: do you prefer your board game reviews written or as videos? I’ve been checking out a few video reviews and I’m on the fence—it’s sometimes easier to get a feel for how a game plays by watching a video; on the other hand, I’ve always been a read-the-manual sort of guy myself so I like a written review (and have been more comfortable writing them). Plus, you can read a review while you’re at work but you can’t necessarily watch a video, right?
So I’ll put this question to you, dear readers. What sort of reviews would you prefer? I can’t guarantee an immediate change, but if it turns out there’s a heavy preference for video reviews I may consider giving it a shot. That, or I may just wait until the technology comes around that allows me to beam my board game experiences directly into your mind.
