New Book Of Boy Scout Photos Allows You To Customize The Dust Jacket

Geek Culture

It was a year ago that we celebrated the Boy Scouts’ 100th anniversary, making today number 101. In recognition of this year’s Scouting birthday, we thought we’d take a look at a new book from the folks over at DK Publishing. Boy Scouts of America Today is a collection of hundreds of photographs that celebrate the Scouting program.

The images in the book are arranged according to the 12 points of the Scout Law and also includes commissioned images from the centennial National Jamboree last year. The book has 240 pages of rich, four-color photos that really capture the adventure, friendship and challenges of the Scouting program. More than 100 of these photos were chosen from Scouts and Scouting volunteers as part of a national BSA photo contest.

But perhaps the coolest thing about this book is that if you move quickly, you can customize your own dust jacket. By uploading three of your own Scouting photos you can make a lasting, memorable keepsake for yourself or your BSA unit. Dust jacket upgrades are just $12, plus shipping. Dust jacket orders must be placed by April 15, 2011.

Disclosure: GeekDad was sent a review copy of this book.
